Since the parents of James Taylor I are not known (as of 2014) his ancestry is a brick wall. But several Taylor wives have proven ancestry back to England: Col. George Taylor’s wife, Rachel Gibson; James Taylor III’s wife, Alice Thornton; James Taylor IV’s wife, Ann Hubbard.
